Con l'introduzione di SOLIDWORKS 2015 e di SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM 2015 Dassault Systèmes ha iniziato il supporto di alcuni ambienti virtuali. E' possibile consultare la lista da questo link.
Il supporto riguarda l'utilizzo di SOLIDWORKS, eDrawings, Draftsight, ma bisogna ricordare che le prestazioni grafiche sono penalizzate dal fatto che non viene sfruttata la potenzialità della vostra scheda grafica OpenGL, in quanto il software lavorerà in modalità software openGL (non viene utilizzata l’accelerazione hardware dell’adattatore grafico e viene abilitato solo il rendering grafico mediante il software). L'unico sistema di virtualizzazione che garantisce le stesse prestazioni grafiche dell'accelerazione hardware è l'NVIDIA GRID.
Un'altra buona notizia è che il supporto di alcuni sistemi di virtualizzazione interessa anche il gestore di licenza SolidNetWork e il Vault di SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM (diversi utenti hanno l'esigenza di installare queste applicazioni su macchine virtuali).

With the release of SOLIDWORKS 2015 and SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM 2015, Dassault Systèmes has started supporting some virtual environments. You can check the list of supported virtual environments here.
SOLIDWORKS, eDrawings, and Draftsight are supported, but you have to rememeber that you won't experience the same graphic performance of a workstation since your OpenGL graphic card won't be used because the software wll work in OpenGL software mode (no hardware acceleration is used, but there's only graphic rendering through the software). The only virtual environment that grants the same graphic performance as your graphic card is NVIDIA GRID.
Other good news is the fact that SolidNetWork license manager and SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM Vault are supported on some virtual environments (many users have been asking for ability to install them on virtual machines).
