La Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corp permette alle scuole e università che soddisfano i requisiti di far sostenere gratuitamente gli esami di certificazione SolidWorks ai propri studenti e docenti.
I requisiti sono:
- avere un contratto di manutenzione attivo
- un minimo numero di licenze network (chiedete al vostro consulente commerciale Nuovamacut per maggiori informazioni)
Ma vediamo nel dettaglio come una scuola/università può far sostenere un esame CSWA ai propri studenti.
Se
la scuola/università ha un contratto di manutenzione attivo può
accreditarsi per diventare ente certificatore andando sul sito di
SolidWorks (sezione certificazione CSWA) e cliccando sul link CSWA
Provider application. Questo è il link che porta direttamente all'application form.
Una
volta che il professore o il dirigente scolastico ha fatto la richiesta
alla Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corp, dopo qualche giorno riceverà un
nome utente ed una password per accedere all'area riservata del SolidWorks Certification Center.
Una volta effettuato l'accesso il professore/dirigente scolastico
troverà dei crediti per poter generare dei voucher per far sostenere gli
esami ai propri studenti.

Il professore/dirigente scolastico invia il codice voucher allo studente che deve sostenere l'esame.
Il
CSWA può essere sostenuto comodamente da casa oppure a scuola: basta
installare il software Tangix tester, e disporre di una connessione
internet e di una stazione di SolidWorks per poter svolgere l'esame.

importante porre molta attenzione al testo della domanda: questo video
mostra la schermata che si presenta quando l'esame viene terminato: lo
studente era convinto al 100 % di aver risposto correttamente a tutte le
domande in quanto le risposte multiple sulla massa ed il centro di
massa coincidevano esattamente con i suoi risultati.
Sorprendentemente
ha fallito l'esame! Perché ? Non ha utilizzato il separatore decimale
indicato nella domanda (il punto al posto della virgola), e quindi le
domande che prevedevano l'immissione di una risposta numerica erano
tutte sbagliate.

How schools and universities can have their students and educators take SolidWorks certification for free
Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corp allows eligible schools to have their students and educators take SolidWorks certification exams for free.
Eligibility requirements:
- the school/university has an active service subscription
- the school/university has a minimum number of network licenses (ask your SolidWorks reseller more info)
Let's
see in detail how a school/university can have its students take the
CSWA exam. If the school/university has an active subscription contract,
it can apply to become a CSWA provider on the SolidWorks home page
(search certification and CSWA exam, the click on "CSWA Provider
application").
This is the link that will directly bring you to the application form.
Once
the professor or the principal completes the application form, after
some days he will receive a username and a password from Dassault
Systèmes SolidWorks Corp to log in the SolidWorks Certification Center reserved
area. After having logged in the professor/principal will find some
credits to generate vouchers that will allow students to take the exams.

The
professor/principal then sends the voucher to the student that needs to
take the exam. CSWA exam can be taken at home or at school: all you
need to do is install the Tangix Tester Software, have internet
connecton, and a SolidWorks license for the practical exercises.

It's
very important to take care to the questions statements: this video
shows what's being shown on your screen once you end the exam. This
student was 100 % convinced that he would pass the exam since he got
expected answers in multiple choiche questions (the mass or the centre
of mass coincided with the values he measured in SolidWorks).
He
surprisingly failed the exam! Do you know why ? He didn't use the
correct decimal separator that was specified in the question (he used
the "." instead of ","): this was he got wrong all the questions in
which he had to input numerical values.
This video shows the first passed CSWA certification exam: the student got full score!
Once
a student ends the CSWA exam, he can download the certificate PDF, CSWA
logo's to put on the e-mail signature or business card. Moreover he can
be listed among students having a CSWA certification: all they need to
do is making login at SolidWorks Certification Center and enable visibility in the list of certified users. The video below shows how to do it:
