What happened to Live Buildings ?

During SolidWorks World 2011 Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corp showed a preview of Live Buildings, a software that targets AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) market.
We haven't heard anything more about it since then. Did SolidWorks abandon the project ?

Well, there's a clue that makes me think that the project is still alive: Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corp official YouTube channel is still showing a movie with a preview of Live Building (first video above).

If the project had been abandoned it wouldn't make sense to keep the video there. The second movie above is showing the product in action.

But here are the news: a few moths ago Matthew West, social media manager at Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corp has replied to a Live Buildings thread on the SolidWorks Forums. Check the pic above to see some statements about the product.

Those statements make it very clear that the project hasn't been abandoned, on the contrary it's in full developement because some customers are being Beta testers for the product!

If I think about the last happenings, like the announcements of the 3D EXPERIENCE PLATFORM and SolidWorks Mechanical Conceptual, I can make a couple of assumptions, and I'm pretty sure I won't be wrong about them:
- Live Buildings will be launched on the 3D EXPERIENCE platform
- it will have features similar to SolidWorks Mechanical Conceptual (istinctive, social, connected), and it will be based on CATIA's cgm kernel.

When will it be launched ? It's very difficult to tell, because AEC market is pretty new to Dassault Systèmes Solidworks Corp, therefore the product will see the light when it will e ready to compete with existing solutions.
