SolidWorks versione educational per utenti privati: SolidWorks Student Edition

Le scuole e le università che posseggono delle licenze network di SolidWorks Education Edition e che soddisfano i requisiti danno ai propri studenti la possibilità di scaricare delle versioni da utilizzare a casa (SolidWorks Student Design Kit e SolidWorks Student Engineering Kit).

A volte però può capitare che lo studente frequenti un istituto che non soddisfa i requisiti, oppure che non possiede licenze network di SolidWorks Education.
Come possono avere la loro licenza di SolidWorks Student Edition ?
La Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corp permette agli utenti privati di acquistare delle licenze denominate Student Edition.
E' una licenza completa (contiene sia la parte CAD, sia la simulazione) della durata di 12 mesi. Con il DVD viene spedita anche una T-shirt ed un poster.

Onde evitare un utilizzo improprio delle licenze, la Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks corp fissa dei requisiti molto precisi per poterla acquistare:

• SolidWorks Student Edition è acquistabile da studenti di scuole superiori, laureandi che frequentano un'università, oppure da membri delle facoltà universitarie che utilizzino il software per impararlo, oppure a scopo didattico
• Il software non è acquistabile dai rivenditori SolidWorks ma può essere acquistato solo da un apposito portale (il SolidWorks Student Store) raggiungibile da questo link
• Prima dell'acquisto viene richiesto di certificare di essere uno studente o un membro dei una facoltà
• E' vietato l'utilizzo di SolidWorks Student Edition a scopo di ricerca accademica

Prima dell'acquisto:

• è necessario compilare un modulo in cui si dichiara il proprio stato di studente o di membro della facoltà e di accettare le condizioni contrattuali imposte da Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corp
• Fornire prova di essere uno studente (tesserino universitario con foto, certificato di iscrizione,ecc..)

Inoltre vigono le seguenti condizioni:

• la licenza ha una durata di 12 mesi e non si può effettuare un upgrade alla release successiva (va acquistata una nuova versione student)
• la licenza può essere utilizzata su un solo computer
• i file prodotti con SolidWorks Student Edition vengono marchiati per evitarne un uso improprio
• non viene fornito supporto tecnico per l'utilizzo nè da Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corp nè dai rivenditori
• I rivenditori SolidWorks non forniscono supporto tecnico sull'installazione e la registrazione, ma viene fornito supporto direttamente dalla Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corp compilando questo form.

SolidWorks educational version for private users: SolidWorks Student Edition

Schools and universities that own SolidWorks Education Edition network licenses and that meet the eligibility requirements give their students the opportunity to download software to use at home (SolidWorks Student Design Kit and SolidWorks Student Engineering Kit).

But sometimes it can happen that the student attends a school that does not meet the requirements, or which does not have SolidWorks Education Edition network licenses.

How can they have their own SolidWorks license ?

Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corp allows private users to purchase licenses referred to Student Edition .

It's a full license (contains both the CAD and simulation ) for a period of 12 months. The shipment contains the DVD and also a T-shirt and a poster .

In order to avoid improper use of these licenses, Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corp. sets very specific eligibility requirements to purchase the software :

• SolidWorks Student Edition is available for purchase from school students , graduates who attend a university, or by members of the university faculty who use the software to learn it, or for educational purposes
• The software is not sold by SolidWorks resellers but can only be purchased on a dedicated portal ( the SolidWorks Student Store) at this link
• Before purchase you're required to give proof of being a student or a faculty member
• It's forbidden to use SolidWorks Student Edition for the purpose of academic research

Before the purchase:

• you need to fill a form stating your student or faculty member status and accept the terms and conditions imposed by Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corp
• Provide proof of being a student ( student ID with photo, school transcript, etc.)

In addition, the following conditions apply :

• license has a duration of 12 months and you can not perform an upgrade to the next release (a new student version must be purchased)
• the license can be used on only one computer
• the files produced with SolidWorks Student Edition get a watermark to prevent misuse
• No technical support is provided by Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corp nor by SolidWorks resellers
• Limited support is given for installation and registration directly by Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corp filling out this form (no support will be given by SolidWorks resellers) .
